Refund policy

At Street Element, we want you to love your purchase. If something isn’t right, we’re here to help — simply review the information below to understand how returns and refunds work.

When Can You Return or Exchange

  • If the product is faulty, damaged in transit, or significantly not as described, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the delivery.

  • If the product is “change of mind” (i.e. you ordered the wrong part, changed your mind, or want a different item), you may request a return for exchange within 30 days of delivery — provided the item is unused, unopened, in original packaging, and in 100% saleable condition.

  • There is a 20% restocking fee on all returns that are deemed not defective. All returned items must be in its original packaging, unused, and in saleable condition. The 30-day return policy means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

  • Custom-order or special-order items (if specified on the product page) may be exempt from change-of-mind returns — in which case you’ll be notified at time of purchase.

How Returns & Exchanges Work

  • Email info@streetelement.com.au with your order number, reason for return, and (if applicable) photos showing defects or damage.

  • Once approved, you’ll receive instructions for return shipping or exchange.

  • Unless the item is faulty or damaged, return shipping is at the customer’s expense, and the original shipping cost is non-refundable.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging, unused, and in saleable condition — no stickers, marks, or signs of being fitted/installed.

Refunds & Exchanges

  • For approved returns, we’ll offer either a store credit, or exchange for another item (less original shipping cost), at your choice.

  • If you opted for store credit — it will be issued within 5 business days of us receiving the returned item and verifying its condition.

  • For faulty or damaged items: once we confirm the issue, we’ll refund your shipping cost for return (or arrange a courier pickup), and issue a full refund or replacement at no extra cost.

Important Conditions

  • Returns for “change of mind” will not be accepted if the items are installed, used, or no longer in original saleable condition.

  • Return must be initiated within 30 days — we cannot accept returns or exchanges after this period, except for faulty/damaged items (subject to our inspection).

  • Returns must be sent freight-prepaid, securely packaged, and include all original components, packaging, labels, documentation.

How to Request Return / Exchange

Send an email to info@streetelement.com.au with:

  • Your order number

  • Reason for return or exchange (e.g. “wrong size,” “changed mind,” “damaged in shipping,” etc.)

  • Photos — especially if product is faulty or packaging is damaged on arrival

We’ll reply within 1–2 business days with next steps.

Warranty & Faulty Goods

  • All items are tested before dispatch. In the rare event of a manufacturing fault or shipping damage, we stand by the product.

  • Faulty or damaged items must be reported within 7 days of delivery, with photos of the packaging and product.

  • Once validated, we will offer a full refund or replacement, and compensate return shipping costs if applicable.
