Enhance the factory rear wing of your Honda Civic Type R (FL5) 2023–2027 with the AFD Wing Spoiler Add-On. Also known as a gurney flap or spoiler extension, this simple upgrade adds a sharper, more aggressive trailing edge to the original Type R wing while maintaining a clean OEM+ appearance.
Designed specifically to follow the contours of the factory FL5 wing deck, the add-on creates a more pronounced motorsport-inspired profile without requiring replacement of the complete spoiler. Its raised vertical edge adds visual height and definition, giving the rear of the vehicle a more purposeful appearance.
A gurney flap is a compact extension positioned along the trailing edge of a spoiler. Commonly seen in motorsport applications, its shape is designed to influence how airflow separates from the rear wing while adding a distinctive performance-focused styling detail.
Manufactured from AeroFlow Dynamics’ specialised hybrid poly material, the spoiler add-on provides the flexibility and durability required for real-world driving. Unlike brittle materials that may crack or break, its flexible construction is engineered to retain its shape under normal road and weather conditions.
Finished in premium Gloss Jet Black, the extension coordinates seamlessly with the factory rear wing and the FL5’s existing gloss-black exterior trim. It also complements other AFD exterior components, including front lips, side skirts, rear spats and diffusers.
Installation uses automotive-grade adhesive tape, with no drilling, cutting or permanent fabrication required. The vehicle-specific design allows the extension to align neatly with the factory spoiler for a straightforward upgrade that can be completed in approximately 10 minutes.

Claims for return or warranty will not be accepted if the item shows signs of tampering or use beyond the test fit stage.

Our team takes great care to achieve the most accurate paint match possible, factoring in the natural differences between plastic and metal surfaces, which can affect paint bonding and finish. While slight shade variations may occur due to these material differences, we proudly deliver a 99% paint match accuracy across all factory shades -with the exception of Ceramic White, which reaches up to 95% accuracy due to its unique pigmentation characteristics.
While we strive to match paint colours as closely as possible, please note the following conditions regarding paint-related claims:

Paint finish and colour variation are not covered under warranty unless the product is painted in the incorrect colour code compared to the customer’s order or, delivered with significant defects such as peeling, cracking, or flaking within 12 months of purchase

Slight differences in paint appearance caused by surface material (e.g. plastic vs. metal), lighting conditions or application methods, which are considered normal and not eligible for refund, exchange, or warranty claims.

Any claims related to paint issues must be submitted within 7 days of receiving the product, along with clear photographs for assessment.

Warranty does not apply if the item has been installed, altered, repainted, or otherwise modified. This also apply to damages due to misuse, accidents, or improper storage
